Kid (Dev Patel), a young man ekes out a meager living in an underground fight club. Night after night, wearing a gorilla mask, he’s beaten bloody by more popular fighters for cash.

After years of childhood trauma and suppressed rage, Kid (Patel) is inspired by the legend of Hanuman, an icon embodying strength and courage. He discovers a way to infiltrate the enclave of the city’s sinister elite, and sets out on a journey to hunt down a group of corrupt leaders who took everything from him and continue to systematically victimize the poor and powerless. His quest for vengeance and attempt of exacting revenge soon makes him become the savior of the poor and powerless people, who are tormented by the corrupt leaders.
