88 mins

Loosely inspired by events from the Arab Spring, the award-winning Harka follows the plight of Ali (Adam Bessa) who struggles to survive on the streets of Sidi Bouzid in Tunisia. Earning a pittance as an itinerant petrol seller, his life is a series of disappointments and frustrations. He plans to follow others and flee the country, but there are family responsibilities to consider and setbacks to endure; a government unable to help him and a system that is ripe with corruption. A growing rage pushes him towards an act that will prevent him becoming one more forgotten man.
