2. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a parent or adult guardian and should be supervised at all times.

4. Babies under the age of one year are welcome for free at off-peak film screenings (morning and early afternoon screenings offered at off-peak prices) providing that:
i. they sit on a lap for the entire screening (i.e. do not take up a seat); and

ii. they are taken out of the auditorium should they cause disturbance to other customers; and
iii. they remain seated during the screening; and
iv. the film is classified as U, PG or 12A.
6. Children aged under 3 cannot be booked into / brought to the cinema other than for off-peak film screenings (morning and early afternoon screenings offered at off-peak prices) and Parent and Baby screenings (only for babies under the age of one year).
7. Not all screenings which are certified U, PG and 12A are aimed at children, even if the BBFC age certificate is appropriate.
8. Screenings advertised as ‘Parent and Baby screenings’ are only for parents, grandparents and carers and their babies under the age of one year. You will not be admitted without a baby.
9. For the safety and enjoyment of all customers, customers are asked to prevent their children from moving around the auditorium during a screening.
4. Buying Tickets
1. Tickets for the cinema should be bought in advance, unless you have no internet access and cannot buy in person from the cinema ahead of time. We recommend buying tickets via our website. An online transaction can be abandoned before payment has been made. Advance tickets (for a future screening) can only be purchased at the in-cinema counter when a screening is in progress (up to 30 minutes before the end of the evening film).
2. Purchasers of tickets on the door should arrive 30 to 45 minutes before the feature start time. Please note we cannot guarantee we won’t have sold out of tickets ahead of the screening.
3. We sell the stalls (downstairs) seats first, and then release tickets for the balcony if the need arises.
4. Seats are identified by row letter and seat number and all seats sold are allocated at the time of sale. Please sit only in your allocated seats.
5. Please select a block of seats the same size as your group size wherever possible, to ensure we can sell as many seats as possible. We reserve the right to move your booking to new seats within the same screening if this request is not complied with.
6. QR codes are now in use in place of tickets. You don’t need to print your QR code ticket out if you have a smart phone. We will electronically scan your booking QR code from your phone screen (or print out) at the door.
7. Please enter the cinema with all members of your group present as one QR code covers your entire booking.
8. Latecomers will be admitted up to 15 minutes after the film / live arts broadcast start time. Thereafter late admission is at the discretion of the Duty Manager.
9. Tickets cannot be exchanged or money refunded, other than in exceptional circumstances at the discretion of the Duty Manager. For online bookings, once tickets have been purchased we are unable to cancel the order.
10. If you are feeling unwell, please don’t visit us. If after you book the tickets you become unwell please contact the cinema for a credit equal to the face value of the tickets to be added to your customer account as soon as possible by emailing info@hebdenbridgepicturehouse.co.uk, and at the latest by 8pm on the day prior to the screening, giving your name and booking reference.
5. Food and Drink
1. Only food and drink purchased at the cinema may be consumed within the cinema. The exception to this rule is drinking water which you are welcome to bring with you in a bottle. We offer tap water refills at the kiosk.
2. Chewing gum and bubble gum are not permitted in the cinema.
3. You must only consume food while you are sitting in your seat in the auditorium.
4. You must observe the licensing regulations at the cinema concerning the sale and consumption of alcoholic drinks. In particular, you must not take glass into the auditorium or bring your own alcohol onto the premises, or take alcohol bought in the cinema outside to drink.
5. We offer pre-measured alcoholic drinks alongside our hot drinks and soft drink selection, to give our customers more choice, whenever the kiosk is open. We want to ensure alcohol being for sale enhances people’s visit to the cinema rather than worsens the experience for others. As far as possible we want people to enjoy a ‘drink’ in the same manner as any other product they purchase from us. As a responsible retailer, we’re not only legally obliged to ensure underage drinking doesn’t occur, but we recognise the importance of this as part of a desire to make a positive difference to our community.
6. We may respectfully refuse to sell alcohol to customers if it is outside of our licensing hours; or to customers who are already intoxicated; who appear to be underage and are unable to produce valid ID; or are demonstrating anti-social behaviour. We appreciate customer understanding and co-operation on this matter.
6. General
1. The free tickets issued to Members and Seat Sponsors can only be used for films and not for premium-priced events or Live Arts screenings (unless otherwise specified on the tickets).
2. We ask all customers using the foyer or the kiosk when a screening is in progress to endeavour to keep noise to a minimum to avoid disturbance to those in the auditorium.
3. If a performance is cancelled or its timing changed substantially, our liability will be restricted, at our discretion, to the refund of the cost of the ticket, the issue of a credit voucher or the issue of a replacement ticket for the same film on an alternative occasion.
4. You must adhere with any health and safety procedures or instructions that are in place and notified to you by our staff or by notices.
5. You must not smoke or use e-cigarettes inside our premises.
6. It is a serious criminal offence to copy or attempt to copy any film or other copyright material exhibited in any part of the cinema, punishable on conviction with an unlimited fine and imprisonment of up to a maximum of ten years.
7. It is not permitted to use sound and video recording equipment, cameras or mobile telephones in our auditorium. All mobile phones must be switched to off or put in silent mode whilst in the auditorium.
8. We endeavour to show films and live arts in accordance with the programme that we advertise. We reserve the right to cancel a performance, substitute an alternative film or vary the time of an exhibition if forced to do so by circumstances beyond our control. We are unable to take responsibility for programme information advertised by third parties.
9. We accept no responsibility for any personal property that is brought to a cinema. Lost property will be kept for a period of 3 months from the date found and then disposed of.
10. You must comply with the conditions on our Licences as notified to you by our staff or by notices.
7. Refusal of Admission
We reserve the right to refuse admission or require you to leave the premises without a refund if you behave in an anti-social or threatening manner; or put the safety of our customers, our employees or our property at risk; or bring a camera or recording equipment of any kind into the cinema; or otherwise breach these Terms.
