When Guy is drafted to fight in the Algerian War, the lovers are forced apart, leading to heart-wrenching decisions and the passage of time that tests their devotion. With its vibrant candy-colored palette, exquisite set design, and an unforgettable score by Michel Legrand, the film is a fairytale-like exploration of love, loss, and the choices that define our lives. Winner of the Palme d’Or at the 1964 Cannes Film Festival.
