…. though your heart may be aching from the state of the world, Hebden Bridge Picture House is proud to present, for one night only, an antidote filled with harmony, humour and hope.

Commoners Choir are a rousing rabble of West Yorkshire’s finest, performing a full concert in the cinema along with live street entertainment, a specially written song for the occasion, and, if that weren’t enough, a free screening of Chaplin’s masterpiece “Modern Times”. Parallels will be drawn between 1936 and 2026, and (metaphorical) pies will be thrown in the faces of today’s great dictators. Expect an hilarious, heartfelt uproar of an evening!

The event is family friendly as long as you don’t mind moderate and occasional swearing in songs.

Doors open at 6pm with a prompt start at 7pm (no adverts). Event finishes 10.15pm with an intermission.
