Ticket Price Update - December 2025

Posted on 25 November 2025

From 1 December 2025, some of our ticket prices will increase by £1. This includes standard adult and concession tickets. Young Person (age 3–15), Passport to Leisure and Live Arts ticket prices will stay the same.

We know this is the second change to our prices this year, and we haven’t taken the decision lightly. Like many venues, we’re experiencing rising costs across the board, and we want to plan carefully so that Hebden Bridge Picture House remains sustainable for the long term – looking after our historic building, our programme and our people.

Paying fairly and planning for the future

An important part of this story is our staff. Hebden Royd Town Council (HRTC), which owns Hebden Bridge Picture House (HBPH), is an accredited Real Living Wage employer. The Real Living Wage is independently calculated each year by the Living Wage Foundation, based on the real cost of living.

Cllr Keith Butterick, Chair of the Picture House Committee, said: “Our staff are at the heart of everything we do at Hebden Bridge Picture House. As part of our commitment to the team and to our values as a community cinema, everyone working at HBPH will receive at least the new Real Living Wage rate.

“By committing to pay this higher voluntary rate, HRTC aims to ensure our staff can earn a secure and dignified living. It’s one of the ways we can recognise their hard work and help keep the Picture House a welcoming, inclusive place for our whole community.”

Protecting affordability where we can

We’ve been especially careful to protect those for whom price increases can be most difficult:
• Young Person (age 3-15) tickets remain frozen
• Passport to Leisure prices are not changing
• Live Arts ticket prices are not changing
We will also continue to offer free Warm Space dementia-friendly screenings, concessionary prices and £2 family screenings throughout the year, so there are still lower-cost ways to enjoy the cinema.

Membership: frozen prices, extra value

Our cinema Membership prices are not changing, which means Membership is now even better value if you visit regularly. Members currently enjoy:
• £2 off film tickets
• £4 off Live Arts tickets
• Members’ Mondays: 2-for-1 on tickets
• 2 free film tickets per year
• 10% discount on all food and drink

Memberships are available for:
• £50 for 12 months
• £94 for 24 months (£47 per year)
• £132 for 36 months (£44 per year)

You can join or buy a gift membership here or in person at the cinema.

Thank you

Hebden Bridge Picture House has been part of the town’s life for over a century because of the people who use it and care about it. Your support – whether that’s buying a ticket, becoming a member, or simply spreading the word – helps us keep the doors open, look after our staff, and continue to welcome everyone.

If you have any questions about the changes, please get in touch or speak to a member of staff when you’re next in.
