Adapted from Colleen Hoover's best-selling novel, this seductive, psychological thriller follows renowned author Verity Crawford (Anne Hathaway) and Lowen Ashleigh (Dakota Johnson), a struggling writer who relocates to the remote Crawford estate to ghostwrite for Verity.
After Lowen uncovers what appears to be Verity's chilling autobiographical notes, she wrestles with the disturbing and twisted confessions about Verity's husband Jeremy (Josh Hartnett), and finds it hard to separate fiction from reality, manipulation from attraction, and opportunity from obsession.
Children & Families
Bring the whole family to the Picture House for weekend matinees, after-school screenings and extra weekday shows during the school holidays.
Throughout September and October, tickets for selected weekend and after-school family matinees are just £5 for everyone – children and grown-ups included. Our after-school screenings usually begin at 3.30pm (Ads/trailers), with the film starting at approximately 4pm.
You can also pick up a free Popcorn Passport in the foyer. Bring it to each eligible family matinee to collect a stamp and a different treat. Complete five visits and receive a free child’s cinema ticket. Look out for the Popcorn Passport symbol on participating films.
We also aim to hold at least one relaxed screening every month, with slightly brighter lighting and lower volume, creating a more welcoming environment for neurodiverse children, families and friends.
